The incident occurred at 10:40 p.m., when witnesses saw a guy emerge from a vehicle in a parking lot in the 7100 block of North Clark Street, clutching his side and urging them to call 911, according to police. When authorities arrived, the suspect had already left, but they discovered him nearby shortly after.

Both guys were treated by Chicago Fire Department personnel and transferred to St. Francis Hospital in fair condition.

Officers apprehended the individual and discovered a weapon on the scene, police said. Detectives were questioning him Monday nite.

Police did not identify the business where the incident took place. A 911 caller characterized those engaged as “a group of gang members,” but police have not corroborated that description.
