Florida Woman Walks Away With More Than $3.3M On $20 Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket

A trip to the Quick King on Highway 200 just made an Ocala woman a lot of money.

Robin Vollmer, 69, went to the Florida Lottery office in Gainesville on June 5 to turn in a winning “$5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH” scratch-off ticket, lottery officials said. Instead of receiving the annuity, she opted for a lump sum cash settlement of $3,319,810 before taxes.

The ticket was obtained at the Quick King Food Store, located at 8955 S.W. Highway 200 in Ocala.

The $20 game debuted in September 2023. It began with eight $5 million grand prizes and more than $447 million in total prizes on the table. According to state lottery authorities, the overall odds of scratching off a winner of any amount on the ticket are approximately 1 in 2.85.

The Florida Lottery donates more than $51 billion to education and sends over a million students to Florida’s colleges, universities, and technical institutions through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

The Florida Lottery reinvests 99 percent of its revenue back into the state’s economy through prize payouts, commissions to over 13,600 Lottery stores, and educational transfers. Since 1988, Florida Lottery games have paid out over $110 billion in prizes and produced more than 4,900 millionaires.
