A third teenager has been detained in connection with the deadly shooting of 16-year-old Jamell Williams, a North Central High School student, at a northwest-side apartment complex in May.
According to police, the 15-year-old was taken into custody on Wednesday. Two other suspects, Chaylon Suttles, 17, and Adryss Bailey, 19, were previously arrested.
The three are expected to face murder, armed robbery, and firearms charges.
Williams was shot and died on May 24 in an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Renn Lane.
According to court filings, the incident occurred during a gun deal that evolved into a heist. Investigators suspect several people were involved in the trade before it went wrong.
Williams was pronounced deceased on the scene.
