MEDFORD, Ore. — A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing three children, according to prosecutors.

Anthony Grant entered guilty pleas on April 8 to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of second-degree sodomy in Jackson County Circuit Court.

Sentence Issued Under Oregon Law

Judge Pro Tem Paul Moser handed down the 15-year sentence under Oregon’s Measure 11 law, which mandates that certain serious crimes carry fixed prison terms without the possibility of early release.

As a result, Grant is required to serve the full sentence.

Case Involved Multiple Victims

The charges stem from three separate incidents reported to the Medford Police Department involving the abuse of three minors.

Officials have not released further details about the case in order to protect the identities and privacy of the victims.

Post-Release Requirements

Following his prison term, Grant will be subject to approximately four years of post-prison supervision.

He will also be required to register as a sex offender upon release.

Authorities Acknowledge Victims’ Courage

The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office commended the victims for coming forward and reporting the abuse.

Officials also credited the Medford Police Department and the Jackson County Children’s Advocacy Center for their roles in the investigation.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Lucy Durst prosecuted the case.

Investigation and Legal Process Concluded

With the sentencing complete, authorities say the case highlights the importance of reporting abuse and ensuring accountability through the justice system.
