A 29-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx, according to authorities.
At 12:17 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in front of 2201 Haviland Ave., police said.
Authorities reported that the victim had a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in the Belmont district of the Bronx, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
The man’s identity has yet to be disclosed, pending proper family notification.
No arrests have been made, and the inquiry is ongoing.
