Severe thunderstorm warning issued for regions of Massachusetts

The Boston 25 Weather Team has issued a weather alert for our area due to a severe thunderstorm warning.

This notice is in place for Southeastern Worcester County, West Central Norfolk County, and adjacent areas of New England until 9:45 p.m.

Worcester, Shrewsbury, Franklin, Milford, Grafton, Webster, Southbridge, Bellingham, Auburn, Burrillville, Northbridge, Oxford, Uxbridge, Millbury, Charlton, Spencer, Dudley, Leicester, Thompson, and Sturbridge are among the communities being monitored.

The National Weather Service predicts “60 mph winds” and “damage to trees and power lines.”
