Three New Jersey residents are among 14 people charged in connection with an alleged cocaine trafficking operation involving Penn State University students and two fraternities, according to Pennsylvania police.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday and State College police announced the charges on Monday, following a statewide grand jury investigation.

According to court documents, those charged include Mohammed Huraibi of Secaucus, Lars Zeepvat of Mendham, and Kaden Howe of Monmouth Junction.

According to authorities, the operation was mostly carried out by college students and members of the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternities. Thirteen of the 14 defendants were Penn State students during or near the period of the alleged behavior in 2023 and 2024. There are at least four current pupils.

According to detectives and a grand jury presentation, Agostino Abbatiello and Thomas Robinson were the operation’s primary suppliers, frequently flying to Philadelphia and New York to buy huge amounts of cocaine. Authorities claim the cocaine was cut and packed largely at the two fraternity houses before being given to Penn State students.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, Huraibi and Zeepvat, as well as Abbatiello and Robinson, are charged with felony counts such as corrupt organizations, conspiracy, and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities. Howe is one of eight defendants facing misdemeanor narcotics possession and related allegations.

“This was a well-coordinated and highly profitable drug-trafficking operation centered on two senior fraternity members, other fraternity brothers, and pledges,” Sunday said in a statement. “In fact, according to the evidence uncovered, cutting and packaging cocaine was, for some pledges, an indoctrination into the fraternities.”

Paul Robinson, the father of one pupil, is accused of concealing evidence, including a safe holding narcotics and cash, as well as delaying the inquiry.
