Ted Cruz Cautions Texas Republicans Risk Losing All Statewide Races In Midterms

Just days before the midterm elections, Senator Ted Cruz issued a stark warning to Texas Republicans, cautioning that rising Democratic voter turnout could cost the party every statewide office on the ballot.

Speaking on his podcast, *Verdict with Ted Cruz*, the Texas Republican described the state’s races as exceptionally competitive and raised serious concerns about early voting trends both statewide and across the nation.

“Texas is excruciatingly close,” Cruz said. “Understand, we could lose Texas. Let me repeat that: We could lose Texas. And by the way, not just the Senate race. We could lose every single statewide race in Texas. That’s how close these numbers are.”

Cruz expressed deep concern that stronger Democratic participation in early voting could translate into significant losses if Republican voters failed to turn out in large numbers on Election Day.

“If the election were over today, if just the early votes that have been cast so far were counted, Republicans would lose massively,” Cruz said. “It would not be close. We would lose both the House and Senate. It would be a bloodbath.”

Cruz urged conservative voters to participate in the election, stressing the considerable stakes attached to down-ballot contests and congressional control.

“I don’t want to wake up in a world where Texas is all blue, where we’ve lost every statewide race, where the Democrats have a massive majority in the Senate, a massive majority in the House,” Cruz said. “I’m pleading with you: Show up and vote.”

Voters across Texas and the rest of the country were set to head to the polls on Tuesday to determine the outcomes of those races.
