Eugene man sentenced to probation in domestic violence case after plea deal

On This Post

A man from Eugene, Oregon has been sentenced to probation following a plea agreement in a domestic violence case, prosecutors said.

According to the Lane County District Attorney’s Office, Antonio Alex Parks, 30, received 36 months of probation for each of three counts of menacing related to domestic violence.

Probation conditions

As part of the sentence, Parks must comply with several conditions, including:

  • No contact with the victim

  • 10 days in jail, with time already served credited

  • Completion of a domestic violence treatment program

  • Payment of a $100 fine for each count

Case background

The investigation began after a 911 call on March 1, 2025, reporting a disturbance at a hotel in Portland, Oregon.

Authorities later determined that the incident was linked to multiple domestic violence cases in Eugene that occurred on separate dates in 2023 and 2024.

Initially, Parks faced several charges, including felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault. However, under a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to three counts of menacing.

Victim speaks at sentencing

During the sentencing hearing, the victim — who lives outside Oregon — appeared via video and delivered a statement describing the impact of the incidents.

Prosecutors said Parks’ lack of prior criminal convictions and acceptance of responsibility were factors considered in reaching the plea agreement.
