One person has died after a devastating fire destroyed a manufactured home in a rural area of Estacada, authorities confirmed.
Fire Engulfs Home Before Crews Arrive
According to the Estacada Fire District, firefighters responded to the blaze on Wednesday, only to find the home completely consumed by flames. By the time crews reached the scene, part of the roof had already collapsed.
Emergency responders said the location of the home — situated down a long rural driveway — created significant challenges, limiting access for fire engines and making it harder to secure a steady water supply.
Victim Found Inside
Fire crews discovered one person dead inside the residence. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending further investigation.
Large Emergency Response
A total of 17 firefighters were deployed to battle the blaze, with additional support provided by the Colton Rural Fire Protection District #70.
Investigation Underway
Authorities from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the cause of the fire. No further details have been made public at this time.
