Woman dies in Vancouver domestic violence homicide; man hospitalized with critical injuries

The Major Crimes Unit of the Vancouver Police Department is investigating what officials have identified as a domestic violence homicide.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 9, officers responded to a reported assault in the 10400 block of NW Oakbrook Circle.

“Officers found a 33-year-old woman with severe knife wounds who was deceased, along with a 30-year-old man suffering from self-inflicted, life-threatening injuries,” said Kim Capp, Public Affairs Manager for Vancouver Police.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment and remains hospitalized.
