Husband taken into custody after wife found dead in central Las Vegas home

A husband is now in custody after police discovered his wife dead inside their Las Vegas home early Tuesday morning.

The situation began around 3 a.m. when a man called 911 requesting medical assistance for his injured wife at a residence in the 4300 block of Esmeralda Avenue, near Sahara Avenue and Arville Street, according to Lt. Robert Price with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

When medical personnel arrived, they found a woman lying dead on the floor inside the home. They considered the circumstances suspicious and contacted LVMPD, Price said.
