A late-night run to a Hamilton County Wawa resulted in an arrest when police say a 21-year-old Westfield man halted a car, chased a group of teens, and pointed a weapon at one of them in the parking lot. According to investigators, the altercation began when an item was thrown inside the business and escalated after one of the teenagers complimented the man, calling him “cute”. The minors eventually drove away, but investigators later recognised and apprehended the suspect after studying the store’s CCTV footage, according to authorities.

According to WXIN, cops were dispatched at 11:30 p.m. after a caller reported that a man in a red Ford F-150 was pointing a weapon and pursuing the teenagers. According to court documents acquired by WXIN, security video shows the suspect initiating interaction inside the store, throwing an object, then blocking the youths’ vehicle outside and pointing a laser-equipped handgun near the head of a 17-year-old.

According to KABB, police examined the Ford F-150 and discovered a Taurus G3C 9mm handgun with an extended magazine and a green laser. Officers also discovered narcotics paraphernalia and around 35 grammes of pre-rolled marijuana joints inside a Louis Vuitton shark bag. According to the site, the suspect told investigators that he took the rifle from his grandfather without authorisation.

According to WXIN, prosecutors accused 21-year-old Alexander W. Price with many felonies and misdemeanours, including criminal confinement with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon, pointing a firearm at another person, and marijuana dealing. He was placed into the Hamilton County Jail and initially held without bond until being granted a $200,000 bond at a court appearance, according to the station.

Many individuals in Indiana are permitted to carry without a permit, but prior convictions or certain conditions can elevate unlawful-carry accusations to more serious felonies, and legal analysts point out that a prior conviction can make possession a felony under state law. According to LegalClarity, sentence enhancements and prior-conviction restrictions might result in harsher punishments for possessing or pointing a firearm than the underlying charges suggest.

The two other guys in the truck with Price were later released, according to KABB. Police have not provided any additional information about a suspected motive beyond what is contained in court filings, and the Hamilton County prosecutor is anticipated to rule on formal indictments as the case progresses, according to sources.
