Three Indianapolis men have been sentenced to federal prison for a series of armed robberies carried out in July 2024.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana announced Wednesday that the three men will serve a total of 41 years in prison.

Emmanuel Collins, 27, was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison and three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to three counts of interfering with business by robbery and two counts of flashing a pistol during a violent crime.

Jujuan Beecher, 25, was also sentenced to 18 years in prison, followed by three years on supervised release, after pleading guilty to four charges of robbery and two counts of brandishing a firearm during a violent crime.

Tayveon Majors, 23, was sentenced to five years and three months in prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to two counts of interference with commerce by robbery.

According to court filings, the robberies began on July 4, when Collins, Beecher, and two others targeted a GoLo gas station on East Washington Street.

Collins kept a gun on the clerk while Beecher guarded the door. They left with approximately $350 in cash and a carton of lottery tickets.

On July 13, Collins held a clerk at gunpoint inside a Phillips 66 on Kentucky Avenue, while Beecher guarded the door. They made off with $2,134 cash. Majors drove the getaway vehicle.

The final heist occurred July 18 at a Dollar Tree on Washington Street. Beecher and another guy held the cashier at gunpoint and forced her to hand over the register drawer, which had approximately $230 in cash, while customers were still inside. Majors again drove the escape vehicle.

That following evening, all three were apprehended in the getaway vehicle. Officers discovered three firearms inside.

“No one who is shopping for their family or simply working for a living should face the threat of armed robbery,” stated Tom Wheeler, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana. “Through Operation Take Back America, our office will continue holding violent individuals accountable and making our neighbourhoods safe.”

Timothy J. O’Malley, FBI Indianapolis Special Agent in Charge, stated that the penalties convey a strong message. “Those who commit violent crimes in our communities will be identified, investigated, and held accountable.”

The FBI Indianapolis Division and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department investigated the case. US District Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson imposed the sentences.
