A 44-year-old Budd Lake man was taken into custody and charged with DWI after a crash, according to officials.
At 12:36 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, Mount Olive police rushed to Mount Olive Road and discovered a white GMC that had off the road and wrecked on 119 Mount Olive Road.
The driver, James Baccaro, was not hurt in the incident and was found standing outside the vehicle, according to authorities. While speaking with Baccaro, investigators detected the stench of an alcoholic beverage and noticed that he looked to be intoxicated, according to police.
Baccaro rejected field sobriety tests and was arrested, authorities said. He was charged with both DWI and careless driving.
