A second man was taken into custody after federal investigators say he attempted to smuggle live birds into the United States after returning from a trip to Cuba.
On Tuesday, Roberto Perez Quincosa arrived at Miami International Airport from Havana. When he passed through Customs, an agent patted him down and discovered eight live birds in tubes sewn into his pockets.
After conversing with agents, he informed them that he intended to breed and sell the birds in the United States for up to $120 each.
This is the second time a man has been captured with birds in his pants. Investigators arrested 40-year-old Alberto Hernandez Castillo at MIA on Sunday after discovering six birds in tubes sewn into his underwear.
