A man with an active felony warrant was detained Tuesday after Boise County officers went to a report of a disabled car in the Clear Creek area.
The Boise County Sheriff’s Office says it got a report of a truck and trailer obstructing the road on Tuesday, May 5. Deputies spotted the vehicle and approached the driver, Lawrence Vanty.
Vanty was found to have an active felony stalking warrant with a bond of $100.00. Suspected drug paraphernalia was reportedly discovered on him while deputies interacted with him.
The discovery prompted a search of Vanty’s truck and trailer, which revealed additional suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and many firearms, according to the sheriff’s office.
Vanty was arrested and put into the Ada County Jail for an outstanding warrant and further narcotics charges.
