Akron police are investigating a shooting that killed a 27-year-old man on Friday afternoon.
Around 5:40 p.m., officers arrived to the 1300 block of Virginia Avenue after receiving multiple reports of a shooting in the neighborhood, according to police.
Police claimed they located the 27-year-old victim, who had multiple gunshot wounds.
First aid was provided promptly, but the individual was pronounced deceased at the spot, according to authorities.
Detectives responded to the area to investigate, collect evidence, and interview witnesses, according to police.
