A Central Florida woman won $1 million from a scratch-off game.
The Florida Lottery recently announced that Tatyana Ashe of Apopka won the $1 million top prize in the America 250 Florida scratch-off game.
The Orange County woman chose to receive her winnings in one lump sum payment of $606,600.
The Central Florida winner acquired her winning ticket from Wawa, which is located at 14548 E. Colonial Drive in Orlando.
She claimed her million-dollar win at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
The America 250 Florida scratch-off game celebrates Florida’s distinct heritage while connecting it to the American story. These designs, taken together, serve as a reminder of the state’s history and its ongoing devotion to freedom. According to the Florida Lottery, this $5 game has four $1 million top prizes, with three more left.
The overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.01.
Scratch-off games are a key part of the Lottery’s range of games, accounting for over 74% of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Furthermore, since their establishment, scratch-off games have paid out more than $70.8 billion in prizes, created 2,475 millionaires, and raised more than $20.98 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
The Florida Lottery is responsible for more than $49 billion in education funding and sending over 983,000 students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program. Since 1988, Florida Lottery games have given out over $104.8 billion in prizes, making more than 4,475 millionaires.
