A Howard County man is celebrating a $2,205,023 win after buying a winning lotto ticket at an Exxon station in Catonsville.
According to MD Lottery, the winner, who has been playing Lottery games weekly for roughly ten years, bought the ticket at the Exxon at 6037 Baltimore National Pike on his way home. After scanning the ticket, he received a message instructing him to “see Lottery,” which he recognized as a potential indicator of a large win.
The man had already won $50,000 several years ago and expressed a desire to win again. After uncovering his latest win, he called his wife to relay the news, and the couple celebrated at home. The couple intends to save the money as they prepare to retire.
The Maryland Lottery will pay the Catonsville store a $1,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
