A Worcester man was arrested on drug distribution charges after a traffic check on Harrison Street.
On August 10, 2026, police stopped a vehicle with canceled license plates at 5 p.m.
Officers directed the male operator and passenger to depart the vehicle.
A knotted plastic baggie holding a white powdered material, thot to be cocaine, was visible on the driver’s side floorboard.
Officers searched the passenger and recovered five more knotted bags of suspected cocaine on his person.
The passenger was identified as Abdulkarim Mbarushimana, 34, from Worcester.
Mbarushimana was detained and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Class B narcotic.
The driver was arrested for possessing a Class B narcotic and violating other motor vehicle laws.
