The subject of a SAFE Alert out of Mesa was found in good condition by police Friday.
According to the Mesa Police Department, 43-year-old Silvio Batres is well after being spotted by patrol.
The alert was issued Thursday night, after Batres went missing in the afternoon. He was last seen on foot around 1 p.m., near Val Vista Drive and Main Street.
He has a medical issue that leads him to get lost easily, and he is unfamiliar with the area, according to authorities. He did not bring a smartphone with him when he left his house.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a means of informing the public about missing people aged 65 and up, as well as missing people with dementia or developmental/cognitive problems.
