Authorities have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins reported in La Pine, following an investigation supported by community surveillance footage.
Community Tips and Cameras Lead to Arrest
The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Noah Kirshner after reviewing footage from doorbell and driveway cameras, along with numerous tips from local residents. Videos reportedly captured the suspect targeting multiple vehicles in the neighborhood.
Stolen Items Recovered
Residents initially reported missing belongings such as bags, wallets and Social Security cards. Deputies said many of the stolen items have since been recovered and returned to their owners.
Multiple Charges Filed
Kirshner was taken into custody and booked into the county jail. He faces several charges, including:
- Attempted unlawful entry into a motor vehicle (7 counts)
- Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle (5 counts)
- Second-degree theft (2 counts)
- First-degree theft (1 count)
Investigation Ongoing
Officials say the investigation is still active as deputies continue reviewing additional video evidence. More victims could be identified, and further charges may be filed.
