Community complaints about potential drug activity at 400 Central Ave. prompted Albany County sheriff’s investigators to arrest a Manhattan man on felony drug possession charges, authorities said.
Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. reported that members of the Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) Unit conducted a narcotics investigation in the area at approximately 3:46 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, following several complaints from the community.
According to the findings of the investigation, 34-year-old Hakeem Bradley was in possession of 24 distinct packets of crack cocaine weighing approximately 20.5 grams each. According to the sheriff’s office, the narcotics were packaged in a manner appropriate for distribution.
Bradley was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; one count of tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony; one count of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; and one count of resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor.
Bradley is set to be arraigned at Albany City Criminal Court on May 6, 2026.
