Three teenagers have been indicted in connection with a Chandler home invasion and armed robbery that injured two people, and three other males are accused of assisting two of the suspects in fleeing the country, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
On June 17, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell stated that Jesus Sandoval, 19, Jorge Jurado Martinez, 17, and Kevin Tristan, 17, had been indicted for the June home invasion.
According to the MCAO, Sandoval and Jurado Martinez were previously indicted for a previous armed robbery. Jurado Martinez and Tristan were charged as adults.
A rideshare driver was assaulted with a gun and robbed while picking up customers near Elliot Road and Arizona Avenue on June 6.
Following that, Chandler police received a call reporting a neighboring house invasion.
Two people were discovered at the house, one injured from an attack and the other with a gunshot wound. Both were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victims reported that three individuals broke into their home, and authorities identified the three suspects linked to the ridesharing robbery.
Sandoval and Jurado Martinez have been charged with several felony offenses, including armed robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and first-degree burglary. Jurado Martinez has been charged with an extra felony for firearms misbehavior.
Tristan was also indicted on serious felony counts of first-degree burglary, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault.
Prosecutors further allege that three additional men attempted to assist two of the defendants in crossing the border. Pete Canez, 65, Robert Rosas, 59, and Anthony Rosas, 39, are now charged with obstructing prosecution.
