The first top prize from a scratch ticket released in March and purchased in MetroWest was claimed on Friday.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery website, one of the two possible $4 million prizes was claimed in the “$4,000,000 Extreme Cash” game on Friday.

The $10 scratch ticket was purchased at Honey Farms, 369 West Main St., Northborough.

The prize is $200,000 per year for twenty years. The odds of winning the top prize were one in 5,040,000. There is still one more $4 million winner to claim.

The game also offers six $1 million prizes, two of which have previously been won. Both rewards were claimed last month, one from a ticket purchased at Cumberland Farms in Blackstone and the other from Cumberland Farms in East Templeton.

Overall, at least 569 prizes totaling $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Friday, with 12 in Springfield, 23 in Worcester, and 46 in Boston.

Every day, the Massachusetts State Lottery distributes a complete list of winning tickets. The list only contains winning tickets worth more than $600.

The greatest lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts this year was $25 million. It was a “$25,000,000 Mega Money” ticket purchased at a Cumberland Farms petrol station in Turners Falls, Montague’s largest of five communities.
