A 19-year-old man died after being shot in Akron on Tuesday evening, and police say a 27-year-old man is in custody.
The burglary occurred around 9:50 p.m. in the 600 block of Callis Oval.
When cops got on the scene, they discovered the victim had multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transferred to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center and died at 10:17 p.m. The victim was identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner as Adonis Darrell McCloud of Akron.
Dmiere Simmons, 27, has been arrested and charged with murder and felony assault.
According to Akron police, McCloud had gotten into a fight with another man earlier in the day.
Simmons was apparently aware of the event and approached McCloud at Callis Oval.
According to police, Simmons and McCloud got into a physical fight, and Simmons assaulted him with the gun before shooting him.
