EUGENE, Ore. , Detectives with the Eugene Police Department are actively investigating a sexual assault that occurred Thursday at Alton Baker Park.
Officers responded at 5:41 p.m. on September 24 to a report from a woman who stated she encountered a man at the dog park. The two walked a short distance away, where she reported that he sexually assaulted her before leaving the area. Police describe the person of interest as a white man with a tan complexion and short brown hair. He had a beard and brown eyes, stood approximately 6 feet tall, and weighed around 230 pounds. Investigators also described the suspect as muscular.
He wore a green short-sleeved shirt featuring a Hawaiian floral design, blue jeans, and teal Adidas shoes with orange stripes.
