A woman was robbed at knifepoint off Central Park on Wednesday, police said, as patrols were already strengthened in the park following the knifepoint sexual assault of one woman and the murder of another in recent weeks.
The New York Police Department released pictures of the suspect in the Oct. 27 robbery near West 107th Street and Central Park West on the Upper West Side.
According to police, the suspect approached a 41-year-old woman about 11:45 p.m. and drew a knife on her before stealing her portable speaker.
Police say the suspect ran southbound on Central Park West. There were no injuries recorded.

Meanwhile, police are looking for another suspect in the knife-point sexual attack of a lady near East Drive and East 67th Street in the park on the night of October 24. They released photos of a suspect last week, but no arrests have occurred.
The crimes come after the murder of Elise Bainbridge Hill, a 63-year-old woman who was battered to death on September 27 at East Drive and East 74th Street. She was apparently living in a gazebo near the Ramble when she was killed. Jonathan Robles, 36, was arrested for her murder.
The NYPD, which has a precinct that includes the park, reportedly increased the number of patrol officers there by 100. “As with any part of the city, remind everyone to always be aware of their surroundings and to remain vigilant,” a police officer stated.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
