Two-Day Course Aims to Boost Rider Confidence
Cyclists in Douglas County will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills and improve road safety at an upcoming Smart Cycling workshop in Roseburg.
The class is led by League Certified Instructors through the League of American Bicyclists and is designed for riders of all experience levels.
Classroom and On-Bike Training Included
The two-day program begins with a classroom session on Thursday, April 30, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thrive Umpqua.
Participants will then take part in a hands-on, on-bike training session on Saturday, May 2, starting at 9 a.m. The exact location for the riding portion will be shared during the first class.
Affordable Training With Added Incentive
Registration for the workshop costs $30 through the League of American Bicyclists website. Those who complete both sessions will receive a $25 gift card, making the course both affordable and rewarding.
Open to All Skill Levels
Organizers say the workshop is valuable for both beginners and experienced riders looking to enhance their safety awareness and cycling techniques.
Participants are required to bring a bicycle and helmet for the on-road portion. Assistance may be available for those who need help accessing equipment.
