EUGENE, Ore. — A popular seasonal shopping event is returning to Eugene, offering a unique mix of affordable fashion, sustainability, and charitable giving.
Sip and Seams Spring Pop-Up is back for two weekends, bringing discounted secondhand clothing and accessories to local shoppers.
Affordable Fashion Meets Smart Shopping
The event allows visitors to browse high-quality, gently used clothing at reduced prices. At the same time, consignors can earn money by selling items they no longer need.
Organizers say the concept helps people refresh their wardrobes without overspending, making fashion more accessible for the community.
Supporting Sustainability and Reducing Waste
Beyond savings, the pop-up promotes eco-friendly practices by keeping clothing out of landfills.
Unsold items at the end of the event are donated to Hope and Safety Alliance, helping individuals and families in need.
Kim Lax, executive director of the nonprofit, emphasized the impact of these donations:
“For many survivors, leaving an unsafe situation means starting over with very little… these items provide comfort, dignity, and stability.”
Shopping With a Purpose
Event founder Valerie Sharr said the goal is to create a meaningful experience beyond retail.
“We love bringing people together to shop, connect, and support the community — and find great deals at the same time.”
