Police say two teenagers attacked a man with mental and physical problems at a bonfire celebration in Florida.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office accused Cody Stripling, 18, and Sabastian Bowers, 19, with aggravated battery on a disabled person and battery by strangulation.
Sheriff Mike Chitwood wrote, “Congratulations to our new Scumbags of the Weekend, Cody Stripling and Sabastian Bowers.” “If you are a decent person, this video will upset you. It obviously didn’t disturb Cody or Sebastian.
According to an affidavit acquired by Law&Crime, deputies stated that the victim has a “clearly visible birth defect on his right hand which causes him to have limited use of his right hand.”
According to the affidavit, the victim’s mother informed investigators that she believes he has a slight mental condition that has yet to be identified.
Stripling and Bowers were arrested and brought to the Volusia County Jail, where they remain incarcerated without bond.
Their next court dates are set on December 8.
