Three Palm Coast men were taken into custody in the early hours of Sunday morning after a confrontation at a Halloween gathering escalated into a weapons incident, resulting in multiple shots being fired into the ground.
Deputies responded to a residence on Robinson Drive following reports of a disturbance involving firearms.
Investigators determined that a victim present at the scene informed deputies he had been engaged in a conversation with Braxton Samuels, 22, inside the garage. During the exchange, Samuels directed a racial slur at the victim and struck him in the face. A second partygoer intervened, seized Samuels, and forced him to the garage floor.
As the two men struggled on the ground, two additional individuals drew handguns and directed them at the victims, according to the report. Authorities subsequently identified those individuals as Logan DaSilva, 18, and Iain Smith, 22.
