A Kittanning man was sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh for stealing Social Security benefits from a disabled child.
Jared Koeller, 47, was convicted of stealing public funds. His sentence includes 36 months of probation and an initial five months of home confinement.

United States Attorney Rivetti praised the Social Security Administration’s Office of Inspector General for conducting the investigation that resulted in Koeller’s prosecution.
